As we watch the midyear pass by, our Summer Daze collection takes us on a journey with its sweet blue abstract print, evoking memories of the open sea and clear skies.
It was a sunny weekend when, sitting on the floor, I suddenly felt the urge to paint. Relaxed and free, I settled in and began letting my hands move instinctively. Once I started, I couldn’t stop—each brushstroke felt effortless, and inspiration flowed through me without a second thought. It reminded me of a quote that had always stuck with me:
“Don’t wait to be inspired. Take action, show up.”
As a child, we would often daydream, slipping into a daze filled with silly dreams and fun ideas. But as we grow older, we always wait for the "right" moment—the perfect time, the perfect feeling, holding us back. The truth is, the best time to start something is always now. When we let go and allow ourselves to act without much though, inspiration often finds us along the way.
When this painting was finished, I knew immediately that it had to become a print. The challenge during sampling was perfecting the colors and we took a longer period than expected. We ended up adjusting them three times before achieving the perfect tone and shade. We created 4 different silhouettes for the print and for the 1st time, we are using 100% Recycled Cotton for 2 tops from the collection - Summer Daze Square Top & Summer Daze Relaxed Blouse. We are so happy and proud to be able to find this textile and we hope to use it often to create more thoughtful pieces that are also sustainable.
PS: The best way of being sustainable is always still wearing it often and keeping good care of the pieces so they will last.
Summer Daze is more than just a reminder to rest and let go—it’s an invitation to free yourself from worries and overthinking. Let your hands, mind, and heart wander wherever they wish. We hope you find your own little "Summer Daze" moment within this collection.
